My interest in art was fostered by my mother who had neighborhood children come into our home for art lessons. I have had very little formal training in art but took lessons from Gardell Christianson, Ruth Hibbs, and Jim Gensheer when they taught in Statesboro. Also traveled to Waynesboro in more recent years for lessons with Katie Garner.
